One killed, 21 students injured in accident
October 3rd, 2011 - 2:22 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Oct 3 (IANS) A man died and at least 21 students were injured, five of them critically, following a collision between a school bus and a mini-truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district Monday, police said.
The accident took place in Dhampur, some 350 km from Lucknow, when the speeding truck ploughed into the bus of Priyanka Modern School. The truck driver was killed on the spot while 21 students were rushed to a hospital.
“The injured students are in the age group of 10-15,” police inspector Manoj Kumar said.
