Bhopal, Oct 10 (IANS) A woman was killed and 20 others were injured when they were hit by a car during the Dussehra procession in Madhya Pradesh, the police said. The incident occurred in the Kotwali area in Raisen town, some 50 km from Bhopal.

“The incident occurred late Thursday evening when a Dussehra procession was passing through Kotwali area of the town,” a police official said.

Injured in the incident, Komal Bai, 45, died while being taken to the hospital. The other injured have been admitted to the hospital.

The driver of the Maruti car managed to escape after the accident.
