One held for killing antelope
March 28th, 2010 - 5:10 pm ICT by IANSBhopal, March 28 (IANS) Police have arrested one person for allegedly killing a four-horned antelope in Raisen forest division of Madhya Pradesh while three others involved in the poaching are still absconding.
According to a police official, Rahimuddin and three others killed the animal near Loharimara village. They, however, left a Land Cruiser Jeep registered in the name of Kashif Khan.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of Rahimuddin and arrested him. They also recovered a gun and a rifle from the house.
A case has been registered under the Wildlife Protection Act.
