One held for illegally stocking fire crackers
October 25th, 2011 - 12:11 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 24 (IANS) A 28-year-old Delhi trader was arrested for illegally stocking 2,150 kg of firecrackers, police said Monday, adding that firecrackers worth Rs.30 lakh were seized from the man.
Tarun Kumar Lamba, a bookshop owner, was arrested from Tilak Nagar in west Delhi for illegally storing the firecrackers, police said.
Lamba told police that he wanted to earn a good profit from the sale of the firecrackers. He had procured them from a wholeseller of Gurgaon in Haryana and stored them in a rented godown.
