One dead in Peshawar blast
May 20th, 2011 - 12:07 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, May 20 (IANS) At least one person was killed and five wounded Friday in a powerful blast in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar.
The explosion occurred at about 8.30 a.m. on the University road of the city, reported Xinhua citing media reports.
TV footage showed the damaged buildings and cars at the blast site.
Initial investigation indicated it could be a remote control blast.
No group has as yet claimed responsibility.
