One arrested in Himachal for slaughtering cow
February 12th, 2010 - 12:51 am ICT by IANSShimla, Feb 11 (IANS) One person was arrested in Himachal Pradesh Thursday on charges of slaughtering a cow, police said.
“Abdul was arrested for slaughtering his cow at Pujali village (in Chopal tehsil in Shimla district) today (Thursday),” Superintendent of Police R.M. Sharma told IANS.
He said the accused had killed the cow in a fit of rage.
“Abdul slaughtered the cow as it was dry for more than three years,” Sharma said.
The village is located some 120 km from here.
