On-duty cop commits suicide at Howrah station
November 12th, 2011 - 7:03 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Nov 12 (IANS) A Railway Protection Force (RPF) head constable, on duty at the Howrah railway station here, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle Saturday, an official statement said.
According to an Eastern Railway release, head constable K.P. Tiwary killed himself at the parcel office of the station Saturday morning.
Policemen, who came to the site, recovered a suicide note from Tiwary’s pocket.
According to the note, the 59-year-old was suffering from neurological problems.
