Jammu, March 4 (IANS) If you want news from Jammu and Kashmir, might as well follow Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Twitter. For, not only did he tweet about Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s arrival here Friday morning but also threw in information about the weather.
“The PM arrives to a wet & windy Jammu. Umbrellas seem to be order of the day,” Abdullah tweeted soon after receiving the prime minister at the airport. Manmohan Singh is here for a day’s visit.
It has been raining since Thursday afternoon and the gusty winds have added to the chill.
Way back in April 1983, then prime minister Indira Gandhi had arrived in Jammu when it was witnessing heavy rains.
