Oil prices may be cut in two weeks: Deora

New Delhi, Jan 7 (IANS) Petroleum Minister Murli Deora Wednesday said the government may slash fuel prices further in “two to three weeks”.The government had earlier lowered the petrol price by Rs.5 and diesel by Rs.2 per litre in the first week of December 2008.

“The price cut is under active consideration. In two to three weeks, a decision will be taken,” he told reporters at the Congress party headquarters here.

“The cut may be as much as last time, or may be even more,” Deora said.
