Ludhiana, April 28 (IANS) A 60-year-old Britain-based Non resident Indian was found allegedly murdered in his house in this industrial city of Punjab Monday. Jasmer Singh had been living alone in his house in the Gurmel Park locality since January.

He was found lying in a pool of blood by neighbours, who were contacted by his relatives from London after he failed to answer their phone calls.

The neighbours then called the police.

Investigating officers said they recovered a bottle of whisky and two glasses from near Singh’s body, suggesting that he had been murdered by someone known to him after getting him drunk.

The police officials said there were no signs of forcible entry into the house and investigations were on.
