Nose wheel of Jet Airways plane collapses on landing
July 23rd, 2010 - 1:25 am ICT by IANSGandhinagar, July 22 (IANS) Passengers of a Jet Airways flight had a miraculous escape when the nose wheel of the aircraft collapsed on landing at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport in Ahmedabad Thursday night. The 57 passengers and four crew are safe.
The mishap took place when the Jet Airways flight number 9W 2510 from Indore to Ahmedabad was landing at around 9.15 p.m. and the nose wheel collapsed.
The passengers and crew were taken out safely and the runway closed. All flights to and from Ahmedabad were affected due to the mishap. A statement by the airline said that the flight had been stopped due to the problem.
