Noida (Uttar Pradesh), March 30 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to install CCTVs on the 23-km Noida-Greater Noida expressway stretch, officials said here. Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Ajay Sahdev said frequent cases of high-speed bikers and speed enthusiasts using the expressway have prompted the move.
Delhi-based biker Gurpreet Singh Saturday rode his motorcycle on one wheel for 12 km at 100 km an hour in a reported attempt to get into Limca Book Of Records. Passers-by informed the police of the biker’s antics.
“Installation of CCTVs is to put a stop such acts. We would initiate a legal action against the biker who endangered the life of other commuters on the expressway. The station officer of the local police station has been asked to initiate legal action against the biker,” Sahdev said.
