Noida accountant robbed of Rs.350,000

Noida, July 19 (IANS) Two men riding motorcycles robbed Rs.350,000 from an accountant in this suburb of the national capital Saturday, police said. According to police, Neetu, an accountant with Om Glass Company, and an assistant came to a branch of Centurion Bank to withdraw cash. The company’s owner called back the assistant to the factory for some urgent work, leaving Neetu alone.

After withdrawing Rs.350,000 from the bank, Neetu was walking towards the factory when the two robbers halted their motorcycle in front of him, snatched the bag containing cash and fled.

The incident occurred at 12.30 p.m. near the Rajnigandha Chowk in sector 16.

Superintendent of Police (City) Ashok Tripathi said a registered a case had been registered at the sector 20 police station on the accountant’s complaint and and a search was on for the criminals.
