December 17th, 2011 - 8:22 pm ICT by IANS
On board Air India One, Dec 17 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday did not specify a time frame for expansion or reshuffle of his cabinet, saying such decisions were taken depending on the exigencies of the situation.
“Cabinet induction and reshuffle is a process for which there is no immutable law of nature whether it should take place or should not take place. It all depends on the exigencies of the situation,” the prime minister said in reply to a question.
Manmohan Singh was interacting with media persons on board his special aircraft while returning home from Moscow after attending a summit meet with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Ajit Singh is expected to take oath Sunday as cabinet minister after he joined the ruling United Progressive Alliance.
The RLD and the Congress have decided to have an alliance for the next year’s assembly election in Uttar Pradesh.
