Bhopal, Aug 12 (IANS) Prakash Jha’s “Aarakshan” is being protested in several parts of the country, but in Madhya Pradesh where the film was shot, there is no hue and cry. It is getting a good response, said viewers Friday.
“I did not like the movie, maybe it has political thing in it but I would like my friends and people from Bhopal to watch the movie as the entire film was shot here and our city is looking beautiful in it,” Ankur Verma, an engineer, told IANS.
Neither the Scheduled Caste community nor the government has objected to its screening.
The movie is running in six cinema halls of the city.
The movie got good response from other parts of Madhya Pradesh as well, including Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
In Jabalpur and Gwalior, some protests were registered by the Valmiki Society and Jaago Hindu Sangathan over some dialogues in the movie.
“I completely agree with the film and it is not only about reservation but about private coaching as well. I think every student and teacher should watch the movie,” Swati Kumari told IANS in Indore.
After “Raajneeti”, it is the second movie of director Prakash Jha to be shot in Bhopal.
The movie was shot for almost three months in several parts of the city.
The Amitabh Bachchan starrer is believed to conatin certain scenes and dialogues which might hurt certain sections of the society.
