‘No external interference in military strategy post n-deal’
August 28th, 2008 - 6:35 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Aug 28 (IANS) No foreign country would be able to intervene in India’s military strategy once the India-US civil nuclear agreement comes into effect, Information and Broadcasting Minister and senior Congress leader Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said here Thursday.”Being a union minister, I can responsibly say that no foreign country can interfere in India’s military strategy once the India-US nuclear agreement gets operational,” Dasmunsi said at the 55th foundation day celebration of the Congress’ students wing, Chhatra Parishad.
“Nuclear power is the only resource to fulfil our energy requirement by 2021. The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) is just misleading students and youths about the deal,” he told Chhatra Parishad activists.
“Some political parties don’t want India to progress in the coming days,” he said.
