NIT-Warangal signs MoU with Swedish university
December 16th, 2009 - 11:12 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Hyderabad, Dec 16 (IANS) National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NIT-W), Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Malardalen University (MDH), Sweden, to promote collaboration in innovation, design and engineering in embedded systems, real-time systems and software engineering.
The agreement was signed by Y.V. Rao, director of NIT-W, and Christer Norstrom, vice-president of MDH, a statement said.
The MDH is one of Sweden’s largest universities, has more than 13,000 students and offers 60 programmes and 750 courses, the statement said.
Rao said the collaboration would facilitate programmes and activities in basic and applied research, education and training, as well as technology and information transfer.
One of the top engineering colleges in India, NIT-W boasts of 4,200 students, including 1,400 M.Tech students and 300 PhD scholars.
