Nine killed in Haryana accident
October 28th, 2011 - 12:08 am ICT by IANSChandigarh, Oct 27 (IANS) At least nine people were killed and nine others injured in an accident involving two cars and a Canter truck near Hansi town of Haryana Thursday evening, police said.
Police officials said the injured were rushed to hospitals in Hansi and district headquarter town of Hisar, 300 km from here.
Eyewitnesses told the police that the Canter truck first collided with a Tata Sumo jeep. A Verna car following at high speed then collided with them.
All three vehicles overturned from the impact of the collisions.
Most of the dead and injured were in the Tata Sumo and the Verna car.
Traffic on the Hansi-Hisar highway was disrupted following the accident.
