Newman to compose for new James Bond movie
January 11th, 2012 - 4:05 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Jan 11 (IANS) Multiple Oscar nominee Thomas Newman has signed on to compose the music for the upcoming James Bond movie “Skyfall”.
This will be Newman’s first association with a 007 movie, but not his first with director Sam Mendes. The 56-year-old has composed music for his movies including “American Beauty”, “Road to Perdition” and “Revolutionary Road”.
Newman has been nominated for an Academy Award 10 times and is expected to get nominations this year as well for his work on “The Help” and “The Iron Lady”, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“Skyfall” is currently in production in England and will hit the cinemas in November.
