This will be Newman’s first association with a 007 movie, but not his first with director Sam Mendes. The 56-year-old has composed music for his movies including “American Beauty”, “Road to Perdition” and “Revolutionary Road”.

Newman has been nominated for an Academy Award 10 times and is expected to get nominations this year as well for his work on “The Help” and “The Iron Lady”, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“Skyfall” is currently in production in England and will hit the cinemas in November.
