Hyderabad, Aug 7 (IANS) A new portal was launched here Thursday to provide complete news about India. Billed as the “complete Indian portal”, it will provide news updates, current affairs, entertainment, sports, tourism, lifestyle and career.

K. Dheeraj Reddy, a software programmer from Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh, launched the website. He told reporters that the portal would provide content in 12 different categories including world news.

The portal would use a unique Java code to ensure immediate update of news and other information. “We will have over 600 updates every day,” he said.

The youngster said he felt the need to launch the portal as people often face difficulties in accessing news and other information about India, covering different categories like politics, sports, Bollywood and regional cinema.

The portal collaborated with leading news agencies to provide latest updates covering all spheres of life, he said.

“India, with more than 42 million Internet users, has the eighth largest Internet population in the world. Yet this represents only about four percent of the Indian population,” he said.
