New pro-vice-chancellor for Jamia Millia
August 16th, 2010 - 2:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS) The Jamia Millia Islamia University has appointed S.M. Rashid the new pro-vice-chancellor, an official said Monday.
Professor Rashid, who was the dean of the faculty of natural sciences, specialises in remote-sensing and has been working in the area of cartography.
Speaking about his new appointment, Rashid said: “I would work in the best interest of the university and my job as pro-vice-chancellor would be to lend support to Vice-Chancellor Najeeb Jung. I would see to it that his dream of making Jamia Millia Islamia a world class university gets fulfilled.”
