Bharatiya Janata Party Ranchi, Oct 21 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Friday said a new India would take shape if the black money stashed abroad is brought back to the country.

“All the six lakh villages will have basic amenities like schools, roads, health services, power and safe drinking water if the black money in foreign country banks is brought back. This will give shape to a new India,” Advani said at a Jan Chetna rally here.

He arrived in Ranchi from Kolkata by a chartered plane.

The BJP veteran applauded the UN efforts for passing Comprehensive Convention Against Corruption to facilitate countries to bring back black money to their respective country.

Advani kept his Ranchi visit brief as he had to reach Port Blair before the onset of evening.

“Today is 21st October which coincides with the birth date of Bharatiya Jan Sangh. According to schedule, I had to honour the old Jan Sangh people. I have to cut short my visit as I have been asked to land in Port Blair by 3 p.m.,” Advani said.
