New-born found abandoned in plastic bag
December 15th, 2010 - 6:37 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) A new-born baby was found abandoned in a plastic bag in south Delhi area Wednesday, police said.”A woman, Radha, heard a baby crying and noises from the plastic bag and informed the police,” a police officer said.
The infant was found in R.K. Puram area of south Delhi and is safe and healthy, he said.
“We believe that the baby belongs to an unwed mother and was abandoned by her out of fear of public criticism,” he added.
