Ahmedabad, May 5 (IANS) The narco test on two Gujarat policemen, D.G. Vanzara and Rajkumar Pandian, accused in the staged encounter killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh, has been postponed for the “time being”, an official said Monday. Gandhinagar Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) director J.M. Vyas announced the postponement. He declined to say when the test will be be held.

The test was expected to be held Monday after the Additional Sessions Judge P.B. Desai last Friday granted custody of the duo to the Criminal Investigation Department (crime) for conducting narco analysis between May 5 and May 9.

The CID began preparing for the narco test earlier when the sessions court granted permission on April 13.
