Mumbai gangster’s aide nabbed in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, May 31 (IANS) A close aide of Mumbai gangster Hemant Pujari was arrested Sunday in Lucknow by a joint team of Mumbai police and Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), an official said.
“Vinay Singh alias Bunty was nabbed from near the Badshahnagar railway station,” additional director general (law and order) Brij Lal told reporters here.

Singh is accused of killing a beer-bar owner in Mumbai, and has several criminal cases pending against him, added Lal.

According to state ATS sources, Singh has revealed vital information about underworld links in Uttar Pradesh during his interrogation.
