MTS launches advanced broadband service
September 1st, 2011 - 5:54 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL), which operates its telecom services under the brand name MTS, Thursday announced the launch of an advanced version of its broadband service MBlaze.
“This historic launch will redefine the way customers experience mobile broadband as we roll out MBlaze Ultra across India,” said Vsevolod Rozanov, president and chief executive officer of MTS India.
Offering a speed of 9.8 mbps (megabits per second), MBlaze Ultra has initially been rolled out in Jaipur, and will be extended to top metros and other cities gradually.
Compared to the earlier version, the new technology can further enhance the base transceiver station cell capacity, spectrum efficiency and peak rate, the company said.
The company has so far invested over Rs.135 billion in India and plans to invest close to Rs.500 million in Rajasthan during 2011.
