Mother, daughter killed by speeding car (Lead)
June 17th, 2011 - 5:41 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 17 (IANS) A woman and her daughter were killed here when a speeding car hit them while they were crossing a road, police said Friday.
Santosh, 42, and Twinkle, 14, were headed to the New Delhi railway station when the accident occurred at around 11.30 p.m. Thursday.
“A speeding Innova car hit them from their left,” a police officer said.
The two were with their family members who rushed them to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital where doctors declared them dead. The car driver has been arrested.
