Mother, daughter found dead near rail track
November 22nd, 2011 - 10:57 pm ICT by IANSAgra, Nov 22 (IANS) The bodies of a mother and her two-and-a-half- year-old daughter were found near a railway track in the Sikandra area along the Agra-Delhi highway Tuesday, police said.
Police said the cause of the death would be known only after investigations. Due to dense fog, the bodies were only spotted around 11 am by villagers passing by.
Police from the Sikandra police station later said the dead woman was from Fatehpur Sikri and had come to attend a wedding in the sector 15 of the Awas Vikas colony. She was identified as Yasmin, wife of Jamal, from Fatehpur Sikri.
Meanwhile, dense fog has hit life in Agra and neighbourhood. The tourist arrival at the Taj also saw a decline due to abrupt change in the weather. The Kingfisher flight to Agra was cancelled and even the Shatabdi Express was late by four hours.
