December 1st, 2010 - 8:34 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) Delhi Police Wednesday claimed to have arrested north India’s “most wanted” dacoit who has been involved in over 100 robbery cases in various states.
Joginder, 39, was arrested from his hideout in Shahdara in east Delhi Nov 26. “A revolver, three laptops and a motorcycle were recovered from his possession,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) K.C. Dwivedi said.
“He is the most wanted dacoit of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
According to police, Joginder was the leader of the Joga gang which was involved in dacoities and car jackings in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) for the past 14 years.
Joginder never showed his hideouts to anyone and used a bike. He does not believe in using luxury vehicles. However, his associates used luxury cars, police added.
