Mohsin doing well as an interim coach: Wasim

New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS) Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram feels that chief selector Mohsin Khan is doing a good job as interim coach and should take over the post permanently.

“In all fairness, Mohsin Khan seems to be doing a good job with the team. Whether his short-term role as a selector-cum-coach should be converted to a full-time job? I am not sure because the new PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) management will surely have some plans,” Akram was quoted a saying by MobileESPN.

“On the face of it, if the boys are comfortable under Mohsin as coach, then he should be given an extended run. I am all for people who are hard-working. Mohsin seems to be gelling well with the team and the boys are looking calm under him. Mohsin is a wise man and also very calm by nature. This is a great plus for someone to be a coach of the Pakistan team. Another thing that works for Mohsin is that he prefers being in the background,” he said.
