Modi greets people on Dussehra

Gandhinagar, Oct 16 (IANS) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Saturday greeted the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, which is to be celebrated Sunday.
Modi said in his message that the celebration of Dussehra or Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of good over evil.
The chief minister performed Maha Aarti at Ahmedabad, where he participated in the Swarnim Navratri Mahotsav.
In a message, Modi said Gujarat has always believed in the well-being and worship of feminine power. The state has involved women in its developmental planning with programmes like women empowerment, Kanya Kelavani, save the girl child crusade and the like, he said.
