Mithun replaces injured Yadav in Indian team
October 21st, 2011 - 4:39 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS) Karnataka pacer Abhimanyu Mithun will be replacing injured fast bowler Umesh Yadav who has been ruled out of India’s remaining two cricket one-dayers against England.
Yadav hurt the webbing of his left hand while fielding during Thursday’s ODI match in Mohali, which India won by five wickets to take a decisive 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
Mithun, who turns 22 Tuesday, will join the team in Mumbai for the fourth ODI slated for Sunday. Mithun has claimed nine wickets in four Tests but is still wicketless in ODIs, having played two.
