Missing girl’s body found in drain
February 23rd, 2011 - 10:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS) The body of an eight-year-old girl, who was missing for four days, was found in a drain in south Delhi, police said Wednesday.The body was found in a drain in Dwarka Sector 5. The class II student was living in Bindapur area of south Delhi.
“The girl’s father had complained Feb 19 that his daughter, who had gone for tuition in the evening, did not return home,” a senior police official said.
“It looks like a case of kidnap and murder. There were no injury marks on her body and her bag was on her shoulder. She might have been accidentally pushed into the drain too. We are investigating the case,” the official added.
He said the police are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact casue of death.
