Minor rescued from kidnappers
December 15th, 2010 - 10:34 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) Delhi Police Wednesday rescued a nine-year-old boy from a gang of kidnappers from Uttar Pradesh after tracking them down by monitoring their telephones.Yash Gupta went missing Saturday from Shakarpur in north Delhi. Police said the kidnappers demanded Rs.20 lakh for his release.
“The arrests came following technical surveillance of the mobile phones used to make ransom calls,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Meenu Choudhury said.
“We rescued the boy from the house of Kamal Sexena in Badaun (in Uttar Pradesh) early this morning. Others who were arrested are Brijesh, Bunty and Ravinder,” Choudhury stated.
