Minor fire in Delhi’s underground market (Lead)
March 3rd, 2010 - 1:47 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 3 (IANS) A fire broke out at an underground shopping arcade in the Connaught Place here Wednesday. No one was injured in the blaze, a fire department official said.
The fire was reported from a garments shop around 10 a.m. near Gate number 2 at Palika Bazar, located at Connaught Place, right in the middle of the capital.
“Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was doused. The cause of blaze is not known yet but it seems to be due to a short circuit,” the fire official said.
