Minor dies after wrong injection in Jharkhand

Ranchi, May 31 (IANS) A nine-year-old boy died after he was given a wrong injection in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district, police said Sunday.
Mukesh Bari, resident of Kumardungi village of West Singhbhum, 210 km from here, died Saturday.

“Mukesh suffered a dog bite and was taken to a nearby primary health centre. The compounder (doctor’s assistant) of the centre Uma Shankar gave him a wrong injection Saturday. Shankar has been arrested,” a police officer said.
