Minister makes surprise visit to office
July 4th, 2011 - 9:31 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, July 4 (IANS) West Bengal Minister in-charge of Food and Supplies Department Jyoti Priya Mallick Monday paid a surprise visit to a food department office here and cancelled 70 fake ration cards.
He also announced after inspecting records at the Dum Dum office that he planned to start a seven-day workshop shortly to train employees in better work culture.
“A number of irregularities and anomalies were found in the documents filed by the employees and it is not their fault. They don’t know how to work because they are not trained,” said Mallick.
The minister checked all the documents and the quality of grains meant for ration shops. He cancelled 70 fake ration cards issued by the office.
