Minibus kills four of family in Mumbai
August 20th, 2011 - 4:38 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Aug 20 (IANS) Four members of a family, asleep under a bridge at Elphinstone Road in central Mumbai, were killed when a private minibus ran over them early Saturday morning, police said.
The victims have been identified as 18-month-old Deepak, his sisters Lata and Geeta, aged eight and 15, respectively, and their mother Bhagyadaata Pawar, 45, the Dadar police said.
The bus was being reversed when the accident ocurred.
The driver, who ran away after the accident, has been caught. Investigations are under way.
