Mild tremor in Gujarat

New Delhi, April 7 (IANS) Gujarat’s border district of Kachchh experienced an earthquake of 3.7 magnitude Monday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The slight quake at 2.31 p.m. had its epicentre at latitude 23.5 degrees north and longitude 70.2 degrees east, the IMD said here.

There were no reports of injuries or loss of property.

Kachchh, touching the border with Pakistan, had experienced a 7.9 magnitude quake Jan 26, 2001, which claimed at least 20,000 lives.
