Merchant navy aspirant falls to death
April 13th, 2010 - 5:37 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 13 (IANS) A merchant navy aspirant died after falling in mysterious circumstances from his third floor rented accommodation in west Delhi Monday, police said Tuesday.
Manoj Kumar, 20, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Etah, was living in Uttam Nagar.
“Manoj had gone to the top floor around 1 p.m. Soon after that we heard a loud noise and found him lying on the ground,” one of his friends said.
He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, the friend added.
Police were informed and reached the spot.
“We received a call at 4 p.m. and a team went to the spot. Manoj was declared dead in a hospital,” a police officer said.
The post-mortem report is expected later Tuesday.
“Investigations are on. We are looking at every angle. Further progress is expected after we receive the post-mortem report,” the officer added.
