Mentally challenged boy falls from terrace, injured
December 6th, 2011 - 11:37 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) A mentally challenged boy was injured after he fell from the terrace of a building in north Delhi Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Akshay, 16, was living in an NGO-run welfare home on the second floor of a building at Vijay Vihar in Rohini Sector-1, police said.
“This afternoon the caretaker of the NGO had gone to the terrace for some work. Akshay also reached the terrace and fell from there while trying to pluck leaves from a tree adjacent to the building,” said a police official.
Police were informed about the incident around 12.10 p.m. “Akshay was rushed to hospital where he is recuperating,” said the official.
