Mehar, Aditi to clash in Southern India golf
June 11th, 2012 - 7:06 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, June 11 (IANS) Defending champion Mehar Atwal will take on Aditi Ashok, the current leader on the ladies and junior girls Order of Merit, in Usha Southern India Ladies gold event teeing off at the KGA Bangalore golf course Tuesday.
Aditi won the Usha Delhi Ladies tournament in April.
Aditi was in terrific form while winning the opening event in Delhi, but Mehar took some time warming and ended outside top-10. But she is the defending champion here and would like to keep the title. But the KGA is also the home course for Aditi, who would like to make amends last year when she finished fifth.
Gauri Monga, who took a long time off from the game to focus on her school leaving examinations, is also in the fray. She did make a low-key comeback in Delhi and could be a contender here.
The strong field also includes Gurbani Singh and Millie Saroha, who were second and third in Delhi Ladies event. Also in the fray is Gursimar Badwal, who was fourth in the event.
