Meerut realtor killed
June 17th, 2011 - 7:29 pm ICT by IANSMeerut, June 17 (IANS) A leading real estate developer was murdered at noon by a group of unidentified teenagers in Meerut, police said Friday.
The attack took place on the Meerut-Baghpat road near TP Nagar.
According to police, Pooran Sachdeva, 61, was returning from his Sachdeva Farm House on the Baghpat-Meerut road around 12.00 noon when three teens on a motorcycle attacked him in the car, thrashing him on his chest and neck, and escaped.
Local residents rushed Sachdeva, who owns a residential colony and a farm house, to P.L. Sharma Nursing Home where he was pronounced dead.
City Superintendent of POlice Prabal Pratap Singh said an investigation has been launched.
