McKellen wants pantomime comeback
August 26th, 2011 - 3:07 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 26 (IANS) Veteran actor Sir Ian McKellen has revealed that he would like to star in another pantomime following his celebrated turn in “Aladdin”.
“I would like to do a pantomime again because I enjoyed that very much,” dailystar.co.uk quoted the 72-year-old as saying.
Pantomime, a musical-comedy theatrical production, is mostly performed during Christmas and New Year.
McKellen was last seen as a celebrity guest named Widow Twankey at London’s The Old Vic theatre during the 2004 Christmas season.
