Mayawati asks CBI to probe medical officer’s death
July 13th, 2011 - 7:53 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, July 13 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati Wednesday ordered a CBI inquiry into the mysterious death of deputy chief medical officer Y.S. Sachan in a Lucknow jail hospital on June 22.
Sachan was arrested on April 6 for misappropriation of the National Rural Health Mission funds. He was later also booked for the murder of his boss B.P. Singh, and was in judicial custody when he died.
