Mathew was doyen of Indian media, says Gadkari

New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS) Expressing shock at the demise of Malayala Manorama’s chief editor K.M. Mathew Sunday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari described him a doyen of Indian media and a visionary among journalists.
In a message, Gadkari said that Mathew’s death was an irreparable loss to the country.
“Shri Mathew was a great visionary among journalists. He was a pioneer in developing the language media in our country. His service to the society will always be remembered,” Gadkari said.
He said Mathew always promoted social issues.
The BJP president also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
