Massive fire in central Delhi tyre market
July 17th, 2010 - 7:59 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 17 (IANS) About 60 shops were gutted in a massive fire that broke out in a central Delhi tyre market early Saturday. However, there were no casualties, an official said.
The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. in the tyre market situated on Rani Jhansi Road in central Delhi.
“About 35 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it took four hours to douse the flames. Almost 60 shops were gutted in the fire, but nobody was injured in the incident,” a fire officer said.
