Marriage bureau owner, four family members murdered
April 16th, 2011 - 2:56 pm ICT by IANSYamunanagar (Haryana), April 16 (IANS) The owner of a marriage bureau, his wife, two sons and a daughter-in-law were found murdered in their home in this Haryana district, police said Saturday.
Police said the bodies bore deep wounds, made with sharp-edged weapons.
“We are working on the theory of murder and have registered a case against unknown persons. Our investigation is on and we are also taking the help of forensic experts to gather clues,” said a police official here.
The deceased were identified as Satpal Singh (49), his wife Veena Rani (47), his son Mukesh (25), daughter-in-law Suman (23) and son Rinku (22).
“We received a complaint from a relative of the victim’s family. Veena’s body was found in the store room of the house, while the other four bodies were lying in another room. Satpal was running a marriage bureau in Yamunanagar,” said the official.
