Mumbai, Sep 2 (IANS) Indian equities markets were trading at a profit in the afternoon trade. Banking, pubic sector company and realty stocks were in demand. At 1 p.m., the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 194.83 points or 1.34 percent at 14,693.34. At the day’s high till then, it touched 14,726.43 points.

At the same time, the broader-based S&P CNX Nifty was up by 64.55 points or 1.48 percent at 4,413.20.

The market breadth was positive. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 1,512 shares advanced, 845 declined and 93 remained unchanged.
