Marilyn Monroe’s love note to ex-husband to be auctioned
December 14th, 2008 - 10:36 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Dec 14 (IANS) The draft of a unfinished letter that late beauty icon Marilyn Monroe intended to send to her ex-husband, baseball star Joe DiMaggio, is to be auctioned for £10,000.According to mirror.co.uk, it was written in 1962 just before her death.
“Experts have speculated that she and DiMaggio were getting back together and she may even have been composing this letter on the last day of her life,” said a spokeswoman for LA auctioneers Bonhams.
Seven grocery bills showing the star liked to eat treats such as muffins are expected to fetch around £470.
